4. Nature of the service

Katolika is a parish management software platform offered as a hosted service (SaaS) to Catholic parishes, deaneries and dioceses. Each user entity has its own separate, partitioned space.

Prestiggio publishes and operates the Platform. Prestiggio is neither an ecclesiastical authority nor an agent of one, and cannot bind any such authority. Content published by a user entity is that entity's sole responsibility.

5. Intellectual property

5.1 Software

KARnet, the software underlying the Platform, is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License version 3.0 (AGPL-3.0). Its source code is publicly available at https://github.com/Prestiggio/KARnet. Anyone may use, study, modify and redistribute it under the terms of that licence.

Use of the software under a free licence confers no rights over data hosted on the Platform, nor over the items covered by sections 5.2 and 5.3 below.

5.2 Trade marks and visual identity

The names « Katolika », « KARnet », « Prestiggio », together with the associated logotypes, graphic charters and visual identity elements, remain the property of Prestiggio.

The names and logotypes of the upstream project from which this service derives remain the property of their respective holders. The AGPL-3.0 licence covers the source code and confers no rights over those marks.

5.3 Content

Texts, images, sound recordings, archival documents and registers published within a parish space remain the property of the parish concerned or of their respective rights holders. Prestiggio holds only the usage rights strictly necessary to operate the service technically.

Some document collections accessible through the Platform form part of the archival heritage of l'Église Catholique Apostolique Romaine à Madagascar. Consulting them transfers no rights.

6. Reporting content

Anyone who considers that content published on the Platform infringes their rights, their privacy or the law may report it to admin@katolika.net, specifying the exact address of the page concerned and the grounds for the report.

Prestiggio reviews reports within a reasonable time and forwards them to the relevant user entity where appropriate.

7. External links

The Platform may link to third-party websites. Prestiggio exercises no control over those sites and accepts no responsibility for their content.

8. Personal data

The processing of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

This legal notice is governed by le droit malagasy. Les tribunaux d'Antananarivo sont seuls competents, subject to any mandatory consumer protection provisions.
